At VKBS, we take pride in working with the National Power Corporation of India (NPCIL) for the prestigious Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant (Unit 3 & 4) project, the largest nuclear power station in India. We successfully installed a robust chiller plant with a capacity of 4 x 2275 TR, providing essential cooling capabilities. Our innovative use of a sea water once-through system for condenser cooling highlights our commitment to efficiency and environmental responsibility. The project involved the implementation of a sophisticated piping system, featuring 900mm diameter glass-reinforced epoxy pipes and diverse carbon steel, stainless steel, and titanium pipes below 900mm diameter, equipped with industrial-grade valves. VKBS also completed comprehensive ducting works using carbon steel, stainless steel, and GI sheets, supported by approximately 100 metric tonnes of structural supports. This project exemplifies VKBS’s dedication to delivering superior MEP solutions that meet the rigorous demands of nuclear power infrastructure.
